He was predeceased by: his wife Rita; and his grandson Travis. He is survived by: his children, Ken (Pat), Carolyn (Richard), Marvin (Cindy) and Gerald (Sheryl); and his siblings, Aly, Janny, Gerda and Gretha. He is also survived by his twenty grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
