He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jyotsnamay Datta and Puspita Datta; his wife Gopa Datta; his daughters, Parama Datta and Chandrima Datta; his son-in-law Sumit Dey; his grandson Nirvaan Ved Dey; and his siblings, Janmajay Datta, Jyotish Datta, Jagodish Datta, Panchali Choudhury and Panchatapa Choudhury. He was also cherished by many extended family members and dear friends.
