She was predeceased by: her parents, Mike Melnyk and Annie Melnyk; and her brother Alec. She is survived by: her close friend Gordon; her family, Jeanne and Gordon; her sons, David (Colleen), Patrick and Jonathan (Linda); her grandchildren, Robyn (Jeremy), Patti (Arthur), Jenn, Andrew and Sean; her great grandchildren, Ana and Luke; her parents-in-law, Nasie and Rose; her grandchildren, Sarah and Curtis; her siblings, Mary, Peter, Bill and Morris; and her caregiver AgeCare Walden.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 2nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Our Lady of Providence Chapel (149 Providence Blvd SE, Calgary, AB T2X0X2).
Additional memorial trees will be planted through Canadian conservation and reforestation initiatives, as a result of memorial contributions.
