We are sad to announce that on November 30, 2025, at the age of 93, Joan White (Calgary, Alberta) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Benard and Agnes Hunks of Saskatoon; her siblings, Cecil, Rodney, Reginald, Rose Kastelan, Evangeline Regush and Celine; her grandson Jonathan Klimow; and her husband Myron Keith White.

She is survived by: her children, Randy (Annie), Dean (Eeva), Sherry (Victor Klimow), Myron, Bonnie Cool, Melanie Hayes and Marcia; her grandchildren, Sasha, Matthew Chernenkoff, Stacie Johnston, Chad, Trisha Hayes, Joy, Juliana White, Danielle Henderson, Daphne and Derek; and her sisters, Elizabeth Jones (Neil) and Rita Sawa.

Viewing will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Bonaventure Catholic Church (1600 Acadia Dr SE, Calgary, AB T2J3B3). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

“I was very sorry to hear of Joan's passing. I lived directly across the street from her on Bonavista Dr. for 10 yrs. We would have chats on her front step in the summer. Joan watched my youngest daughter at times, when I had to pick up my older 2 children from activities, and taught my daughter piano. She would come over for tea sometimes. Joan taught me how to care for my outdoor plants. She was someone whose strength I really admired. A very kind sole. My condolences to her family.”
