He was predeceased by: his parents, Maria Perpetua Bettencourt and Manuel Inacio Bettencourt; and his brother Jose Inacio Bettencourt of Graciosa, Azores.. He is survived by: his wife Mabel; his daughter Dianna; and his siblings, Delminda Felix of Calgary, Maria Bettencourt of Toronto, ON, Manuel Bettencourt (Maria Clotide), Antonio Bettencourt of Rhode Island and David Bettencourt (Odelta) of Massachusetts. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
