Johannes Kamphuis Obituary

Johannes (Joe) Kamphuis peacefully passed away on June 28, 2026 at the age of 81.

Joe will loving be remembered by his wife Elaine and his 3 sons Jason (Crystal), Scott (Meagan), Brian (Tara) and step daughter Chantelle (Justin), his 2 brothers Bill, Jerry, his 2 sisters Ali, Brenda, his 17 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brother in law Lloyd Weisbrod (Kris) many nieces and nephews and many friends.

Joe loved to go fishing and the race track with Brian, watching the Okotok Dawgs on Fathers day with Scott, and driving the big rigs especially the trip to Las Vegas with Jason. He worked on the chicken farm for about 30 years. He really enjoyed driving tractor trailer for H&R Transport both as a highway driver and city driver. When Joe finally retired at the age of 80 he was driving a shunt truck for Rene Transport at the Canadian Tire Warehouse.

The family is sincerely grateful for the staff at Age Care Dawson for their care of dad's last couple of months.

A celebration of life will be held on July 25th, 2026 between 2-4 PM at a hall located at 6220 17th Ave SE, Calgary.
