He was predeceased by: his parents, Joan Carol Duby (Luzine) and John Duby. He is survived by: his friend Neil Slimm; his sister Clarende Duby; his brother-in-law John Prance; and his nephews, Jackson, Duncan and Benjamin. He is also survived by numerous cousins and other extended family.

He had spent the COVID pandemic picking up and delivering food back to Canada.
