John Bailey Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Bailey (Calgary, Alberta), who passed away on December 11, 2022 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his children, Megan (Jason), Dave (Ximena), Doug (Nicole) and Cathy (Robb); his grandchildren, Kara (Geoff), Lindsey (Brandon) and Paige (Brad); his daughter Lorna (Dennis); his grandchildren, Lisa (Bailey) and Dayna; his son Roger (Darlene); his granddaughters, Evelyn (Jordan) and Melanie (Adam); his great grandchildren, Bailey, Danika, Jenna, Summer, Izabella, Alexia, Arianna, Eleanor, Audrey, Quinn, Liam, William and Ivy; his brother Bill; and his sisters-in-law, Marilyn and Mary. He is also survived by his many nieces and nephews.

It was only recently that we became aware that he had received the Governor General's award in November 1991, for outstanding contributions to firefighting in Canada .
