He was predeceased by: his parents, John Walter Krauss (Jack) and Marjorie Ruth Werthenbach (Joy). He is survived by: his wife Lorraine; his daughter Gail Krauss (Tim Nield); his grandchildren, Kerry and Sam (Sherwood Park); his son John Krauss (Maureen Donohue Krauss); his grandchildren, John, Natalie, Jack, Aaron and Sean Nield; his great grandchild Harper Nield; his brother Jim Krauss (Carolyn) of Parksville, BC; his nieces, Kori, Kelli and Kristyn; his brother James Bruce (Jim); and his cousins, Chuck, Mary and Ruben.
Although Jack tested negative for Covid -19 ultimately the pandemic played a significant role in the last chapter of his life and he was moved to Centennial Hospital in Ponoka in April, a larger facility that could accommodate his needed level of care.
