It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Charles Maeers formerly of Calgary, Alberta, who passed away on May 7, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Maeers and Margaret Maeers; his former wives, Joyce and Linda; his siblings, Donald and Ruth; his nieces, Georgia and Stephanie; and his stepdaughter Sandie.

He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, Richard and Lorna (John); and his stepchildren, Wendy, Della (Clyde), Ethel, Betty Ann, Doug (Sheila) and Ken (Laurie). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 3 great great- great grandchildren and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
