We announce the death of John McAlister of Calgary, Alberta, who passed away on July 12, 2026, at the age of 80. John will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd and Evelyn; and his brother Brent. He is survived by: his wife Marlene; his son Ryan; his daughter-in-law Nicole; his daughters, Erin and Jillian; his granddaughters, Jordan (Tyler) and Jamie; his brother Lindsay (Judy); his aunt Thelma Ball; his close friend Gwen Relling; Magee Justine. He is also survived by many extended family members, including nephews and cousins.
