He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Smandych; and his daughter Connie. He is survived by: his son Warren Smandych (Sue); his grandchildren, Lindsay Lacey (Allan) and Denise Smandych (Scott MacWilliams); and his great grandchildren, Kai and Jaden Lacey.
A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, January 14th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Foster's Garden Chapel (3220 4 St NW, Calgary, AB T2M2P9).
