He was predeceased by: his father Ernesto Barcena (Vicenta Remular); and his brother Ernesto Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Else Barcena; his wife Susan Bondame; his daughters, Jessa and Jasmine; and his siblings, Bennie (Perlie), Russell (Maryann), Lina (Jerry) and Restie (Maria).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Mountain View Funeral Home (Prairie View Chapel) (1605 100 St SE, Calgary, AB T1X0L4). A prayer was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church (1525 45 St SE, Calgary, AB T2A1N3). A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery (1605 100 St SE, Calgary, AB T1X0L4).
