She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband William "Bill" Sandor; her children, Greg (Kim), Kyle and Lindsay (Mike); her grandchildren, Easton, Poppy, Lukas, Willow and Evangeline; and her brother Ron. She was also cherished by her eight brothers and sisters, cousins, neighbours, friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada in Karen's memory.
