With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen Diane (Thon) Sandor (Calgary, Alberta), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 5, 2026 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband William "Bill" Sandor; her children, Greg (Kim), Kyle and Lindsay (Mike); her grandchildren, Easton, Poppy, Lukas, Willow and Evangeline; and her brother Ron. She was also cherished by her eight brothers and sisters, cousins, neighbours, friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mountain View Funeral Home (Arbor Chapel) (1605 100 St SE, Calgary, AB T1X0L4). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery (1605 100 St SE, Calgary, AB T1X0L4). A reception will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mountain View Funeral Home (Arbor Lounge) (1605 100 St SE, Calgary, AB T1X0L4).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Kidney Foundation of Canada in Karen's memory.
