He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl and Helene; his sister Christa; and his daughter Gabriele. He is survived by: his wife Doris; his daughters, Yvette and Monika (Franco); his brother Detlev; his children, Christopher and Denise; his grandchildren, Cody, Nicolaus (Vicki), Damon (Iman), Samantha (Andy) and Ethan (Amanda); and his great grandchildren, Lily and Aurora.
