He was predeceased by: his parents, Dildar Sarpal and Bimla Sarpal. He is survived by: his wife Rajvinder; his son Sanjiv; his daughter-in-law Inderjeet; his daughter Simi; his son-in-law Collin; his grandsons, Aaron, Ishaan and Aidan; and his siblings, Gurdip (Harjit), Gurcharan (Apar), Pritpal (Gurmit), Jagjit (Chanda), Harmanjit (Iqbal), Balwant (Bhajan) and Santosh (Darshan). He is also survived by his numerous nieces and nephews.
