We announce the death of Kelly Van Lee Jones (Calgary, Alberta), born in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan, who passed away on October 24, 2026, at the age of 69. Kelly will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Kelly will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Kelly will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Kelly’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Millie Morfitt; his stepfather George Morfitt; his father Verne Jones; and his siblings, Terry Jones, Ivy Jones and Randall Jones.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Dover Pizza (5268 Memorial Dr #28, Calgary, AB T2A2R1).
Additional memorial trees will be planted through Canadian conservation and reforestation initiatives, as a result of memorial contributions.
