He was predeceased by: his grandfather Ken; his parents, Thyra Jessie McDonald and Walter Arnold Veness; his wives, Shirley Veness (Grandma Shirley) and Janelle; and his siblings, Louise "Lou" Kelleher, Olive "Ollie" Moxley, Walter "Wally" Veness, Philip Arthur "Art" Veness and Roy Veness.
He is survived by: his daughters, Janelle Adie and Lindsey Peterson (Barry); his grandchildren, Josie, Lexi, Gentry, Chesney, Reagan, Brenna and Harlee; his great grandchild Cedar; his sister-in-law Lois Beuttenmiller; Charlene Veness. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made in Ken's memory to the Knights of Columbus, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Salvation Army, War Amps, or the Royal Canadian Legion (Horton Road Branch).
