He is survived by: his wife Mary Schafer of Calgary, AB; his sons, Francis Schafer of Calgary, AB and Kevin Schafer of Richmond, BC; and his grandchildren, Ashley and Kyle. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews and long-time friends.
