She was predeceased by: her parents, Jean Herman Gerritt Versteeg and Louise Vrijens; and her husband Leslie Simon. She is survived by: her children, Jolanda Irvine (Dave) of Calgary, Paul Simon of Conrich, Rick Simon of Edmonton, Roy Simon (Lorraine) of Chestermere, Joyce Crierie (Dan) of Airdrie and Linda Miller (Jeff) of Airdrie. She is also survived by her family raising not only her 6 children.
In lieu of flowers and in the spirit of generosity, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Stollery Children's Hospital in Edmonton who cared for one of her youngest grandchildren.
