Lydia Spencer Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lydia Spencer (Calgary, Alberta), born in Chilliwack, British Columbia, who passed away on January 22, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David Braun and Katharina Braun; her husband Bertram Spencer; and her siblings, Jake Braun (Eva), David Braun, Katie Giesbrecht (Jake) and Clara McLeod (Lynn).
She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa McIntyre (Rod) and Lorna Spencer; her stepson Michael Spencer (Corina); her grandchildren, Chad McIntyre (Jillian), Andrea Robinson (Scott), Elsa-May Pye (Mike) and Tristen Eagles; her stepgrandsons, Mark Spencer (Esther), Sean Spencer and Neal Spencer; her great grandchildren, Jordyn, Christopher, Rilyn and Kaeli; her sisters, Johanna Day (Frank), Linda Kirkbride (Bill), Pauline Ewert (Bob) and Rosemary MacGillivray (Gerry); and her sister-in-law Sonjia Braun. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made to The Alzheimers Society of Canada.
