He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Shepherd and Margaret Shepherd; his son Doug; his parents-in-law, Edwin and Angeline; and his siblings, Madge (Ralph), Pat, Keith (Jill), Grant, Wayne and Dale.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis; his children, Len (Connie), Rick (Michelle), Lynnelle (Rob), Carolyn (Tom) and Geriann "Sam" (Damian); his grandchildren, Stephanie (Antony), Julian (Jasper), Madeline (Cody), Grayson (Alexis), Coulsen, Liam (Hannah) and Emmett; and his siblings-in-law, Grace (Wayne) and Duane. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Evan J. Strong Funeral Services North (3625 12 St NE, Calgary, AB T2E 6P4).
