He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Edith of Calgary; his sister Anne McNeilly; his nephews, David (Fiona), Sam and Ben; his sister Joan Burrows (Peter); his siblings' children, Darcy and Tom; his sister Louise Wood (Keith); his siblings' children, Kerry Rachel (Johnny), Zara, Matthew and Lisbon N. Ireland; his stepdaughter Adele Stanford; his stepgrandchildren, Erin Masuda (Greg) and Koura of Mio; his stepchildren, Patrick, James Stanford and Katie Stanford; his stepgrandson Jackson; his children, Jennifer Mitchell (Ian), Taylor, Micaela, Deidre Stewart, McLane Brand, Dawsen Brand, Shaun Stewart, Isabelle, Argyle and Robyn Whyte (Erick); his grandchildren, Avalynn, London and Fallon; and his children, Kaylynn, Melissa, Sheldon Loyer (Teighan), Deanna Banman, Stephanie Gingras and Bailey Gingras-Hamilton. He was also cherished by six children.
