He was predeceased by: his parents, Jaçinto Carreiro and Corina Moniz; and his siblings-in-law, Cremilde Carreiro and Antonio Teofilo. He is survived by: his son Nelson Carreiro (Nelia) of Calgary; his siblings, Conceição Medeiros (Herminio) and José Carreiro of Calgary; and his wife Julia. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.
