We are sad to announce that on December 27, 2021, at the age of 96, Maria Elizabeth Nilsson in Calgary, Alberta passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Joseph Dahm. She is survived by: her mother Frances Dahm; her siblings, Jimmy, Geneva, Donny and Sonny; her children, Lynda (Tom), Michael (Brenda), Ross, Karin and Eldon (Maryjane); her grandchildren, Shaun, Erin, Melissa, Tyler, Carly, Britt, Ben and Sam; her great grandchildren, Brycen, Theoren, Alena, Jevan, Nash, Ryker, Tay, Everett and Leo; and her spouse Bjorn Nilsson.
In recognition of the current restrictions regarding gatherings, we will be holding a Celebration of Life for Maria in the spring, when the ground warms and her favourite flowers can be planted.
A mass for Maria will be said at Holy Name Catholic Church and the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Alberta Cancer Foundation.
