She was predeceased by: her parents, Janet Folk and Alexander Folk; and her brother Mervin. She is survived by: her husband Allan Monk (Jim); her children, Kathryn Schneider (Geoff), Carrie Petri (Björn) and Joel Monk (Meghan); her grandchildren, Emma, Myla, Brayden, Kaden and Riley; and her brothers, Ron Folk (Sue), Rick Folk (Elizabeth) and Dave Folk (Elaine). She is also survived by extended family; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Calgary Reads in support of their Little Red Reading House http://www.littleredreading.house A Celebration of Marlene's Life will take place on March 25, 2022 at 11:00am MST at St. Gerard's Church with a reception to follow.
