He was predeceased by: his girlfriend Karen Mellor; and his parents, George Drage (Wilbur) and Christina Drage (Tina). He is survived by: his siblings, Susan (Richard) of Calgary and Randy (Shelley) of Calgary; his niece Megan; his nephews, Ethan, Christopher and Colton; and his stepnieces, Azure-Dee and Danielle.

Marty retired after being diagnosed with lung cancer during the COVID pandemic.
