She is survived by: her children, Desiree (De Abreu), Linda (Rampersaud), Gwendoline (Walker), Michael (Van Sertima) and Andrea (Van Sertima). She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
