She is survived by: her husband Gary Mott; her children, Craig Mott (Dana) and Kerri Colquhoun (Eoin); her grandchildren, Darby, Caden, Piper Mott, Ella and Kelen Colquhoun; her sister Geraldine Ross; and her nieces and nephews, Jason, Brent, Dionne Miller and Nicole Erickson.

“My sympathies to you all on this sad occasion. I worked with Maxine for many years at Mount Royal College. She was an outstanding colleague and a good friend to me. When I was going through a mastectomy, Maxine came to visit and to offer support and comfort. Years later, when I sat on the MRU Board of Governors, I nominated Maxine for a board position. She would have been perfect for that, but she kindly declined. Maxine was a role model and an inspiration to us all. Elaine Mullen.”
