He is survived by: his children, Michelle Banks and Michael Banks; his grandchildren, Hayden, Ciara and Colton; his siblings, Bill Cowan (Sharon), Floyd Cowan (Farah), Rex Cowan (Marion) and Grace Martin (Stan); and his cousin Jean. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
