He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Gounder (Bonnie); his children, Eric Gounder (Maria Fernanda), Joyce Gounder Kennedy (Chris Kennedy) and Bernadette Charan (Denesh Charan); and his granddaughters, Elissa Gounder, Abigail Charan and Isabel Charan. He is also survived by his extended family and many dear friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Mountain View Funeral Home (Prairie View Chapel) (1605 100 St SE, Calgary, AB T1X0L4). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Mountain View Cemetery (1605 100 St SE, Calgary, AB T1X0L4). A reception will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Mountain View Funeral Home (Prairie View Lounge) (1605 100 St SE, Calgary, AB T1X0L4).
