She was predeceased by: her husband Craig Ovens; her parents, Kern Kernested and Stella Kernested; and her nephew Kevin Freeman. She is survived by: her children, Brittany and Patrick Ovens; her siblings, Pamela Freeman (Graem) and Kerby Kernested (Sheri); and her nieces and nephews, David Kernested (Taylor), Mark Freeman (Kazia) and Courtney Kernested (Dana). She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at 24 Riverbrook Pl SE, Calgary, AB T2C3P6.
