“I first met Morrie in district 4, I was a rookie at the time. Morrie was larger than life type of guy, he was a great example of how a person in authority should be. Later in my career Morrie and I crossed paths on several occasions and we always had fun. I later found Morrie was a friend of a lady I referred to as my daughters surrogate grandmother she ( Peg Schmaltz) also had a deep respect for Morrie, she knew him from the farm and as a cowboy poet. Morrie will be missed and remembered well.”

“I’m so sorry to learn about the loss of Morrie. I first met Morrie in the mid 80’s back when he worked at CPS. He had many great stories and quick wit and was always a pleasure to be around. My sincere condolences to his family. He especially loved his girls. 💕”

“Morrie completed part of his detective training with me in 3 GIU. Not only was he a fine officer, we both enjoyed hunting and firearms. He took a smithing course at SAIT and was in the process of building a rifle. Morrie had purchased some land and was into cattle. On his land he had a pole barn built and had plans for a log house. What Morrie liked, he loved and this included relationships and family. After my retirement I regret not keeping in contact. Condolences to everyone that knew Morrie.”
