It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nadine Audrey (Ellergodt) Nicholls of Calgary, Alberta, who passed away on January 20, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Laura Ellergodt and Roy Ellergodt; her husband Garnette Nicholls; her sisters, Patricia and Faye; and her son David.
She is survived by: her children, Melanie (Roger Jackman) of Calgary, Kenneth Nicholls (Debra) of Diamond Valley and Laurena (Jordan Hjelsvold) of Airdrie, Alberta.; her grandchildren, Bradford (Bailey Jackman), Melissa (Brennan Legge), Hailey (Rocky Robitaille), Ashlyn, Grace Hjelsvold and Chantel Ostashower; her great grandchild Harper Jackman; her grandchildren, Mathis, Brodie, Mariella Legge, Kennadi, Rocko and Charlize Robitaille; her sisters, Sandra (Glen Brinkman) and Donna (Don Meaker); and her sister-in-law Shirley Nicholls. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, and great-grand-nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Mountain View Funeral Home (Prairie View Chapel) (1605 100 St SE, Calgary, AB T1X0L4). A reception will be held on Thursday, March 12th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mountain View Funeral Home (Prairie View Lounge) (1605 100 St SE, Calgary, AB T1X0L4).
In lieu of flowers, the family invites those who wish to honor Nadine's memory to make a donation to the Libin Cardiovascular Institute or The Calgary Humane Society, or prayers and acts of kindness may be offered in her memory.
