He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Bentsen and Emma Bentsen; his wife Leona; his son Murray Dean Bentsen; and his siblings, Ramon and Karen.
He is survived by: his children, Mark and Sandra MacLean (Gary); his grandchildren, Carmen (Vallen), Sean, Zachary, Hannah and Alyssa (Rhett); his goddaughter Brenda Farnquist; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara and Violet. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Pinebrook Golf & Country Club (166 Pinebrook Way, Calgary, AB T3Z3K3).
