He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura Mageau and Paul Gaston Duteau; and his son Tim Barnes (Karen). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Smith (Alberta); his children, Murray Johnston (Colleen), Nicole Duteau (Daniel) and Rob Duteau (Irene); his grandchildren, Connie (Tyler), Cameron (Kasey), Jenna (Seth), Julia, Anjolie and Katelyn; his great grandchildren, Mira, Ren, Eli and André; his friends, Bunnie and Dick Arth; his granddaughter Alexsa; and his siblings, Adele, Margaret, Ray, Cecile and André Duteau.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Hillhurst United Church (1227 Kensington Close NW, Calgary, AB T2N3J6).
