He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Kaj Hertzsprung and Julie Hertzsprung (Alling); his brother Irwin; his children, Colleen Charter (Ian), Val Carleton (Neil) and Evan Hertzsprung (Meyen); his grandchildren, Emily Charter (Noah Sommerfeld), Richard Charter (Tessa), Erin Lamoureux (Jordan), Liam Hertzsprung (Jess) and Alys Hertzsprung; and his great grandchildren, Annabelle, Emmett, Charis, Ira, Shad, Malachi and Beatrice.
