Ramiro Jarencio touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elpidio Contreras and Aurora Jarencio Contreras; his wife Julding Monzon Contreras (Julding) of Calgary, AB; his daughter Victoria Caroline; his siblings, Teresita Reyes, Helen Contreras and Roldan Contreras; and his daughter-in-law Marites Ramos Contreras.
He is survived by: his children, Gertie Lucero (Manny), Roberto Contreras, Lou Legaspi, Rico Contreras (Belinda) and Aurea Contreras (Auring); his grandchildren, Shannon Lucero (Jessieca), Bradley Contreras, Lauren Jarin (Kevin), Nikko Contreras and Christian Contreras (Melissa); his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Alex, Mason, Olivia and Ellie; his siblings, Ruth Santiago (Amado) and Eduardo Contreras (Jane); and his extended family, Holloway and Eastside. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, September 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A prayer was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Eastside Memorial (5388 Memorial Dr, Calgary, AB T2A3V9). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mark Catholic Church (5552 Madigan Dr NE, Calgary, AB T2A4P2).
He was also one of the founders of the PCCF (Philippine Cultural Centre Foundation) in Calgary.
