He is survived by: his significant other Jean Gilbert; his stepdaughter Kari Gilbert; his granddaughter Mikayla Gilbert (James); his great grandchildren, Aubrea and Ivy Gilbert; and his sisters, Margie LaForge (Gerard) of Wyevale and Heather Duffy of Plaster Rock. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
