He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Robert and Marie Ann Kacevychius (MacNeil); his brother Wayne; his grandparents, Allan H., Catherine MacNeil, Joseph R. Kacevychius, Bertha Ball (Kacevychius) and Keith Ball; and his godparents, Clarence and Sheila Chiasson (MacNeil).

He is survived by: his sons, Kyle (Sara) of Cochrane, AB and Reilley; his grandchildren, Brynlee and Carson of Cochrane, AB; his siblings, Allan Kacevychius (Wendy) of Edmonton, AB, Joanne McNutt (Greg) of Truro, NS and Marlene Urquhart (Sandy) of Sydney, NS; his nieces and nephews, Evan Kacevychius, Conor Kacevychius and Alia Kacevychius (Brent) of Edmonton; his uncles, Jed Ball (Valerie) and Al Law of New Glasgow, NS; his aunt Anne Ball of Balls Creek; and his friend Bob.

One of Bob's greatest gifts was the gift of life to so many when he had reached his 100 Blood donation with Canadian Blood Services in 2024.
