He was predeceased by: his sister Kathy; and his parents, Walter and Paula. He is survived by: his wife Irene; his sons, Roman Jr. (Jamie), Andrew (Ivana) and Daniel; his grandchildren, Maxym, Vera and Walter; his siblings, Ihor (Vickey) and Luba; and his nephews, Derek (Tina) and David (Crescent).
