He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert A. Newman and Ivy A. Newman; his former wife Geraldine "Jerry"; his daughter Pamela "Penny"; and his granddaughter Rebecca.

He is survived by: his wife Agnes; his children, Kathryn, James and Ronald (Darlene); his brother Errol (Dorothy); his grandchildren, Chara, Kiel (Jennie) and Jeremy (Michelle); his great grandchildren, Kayla, Aria and Liam; and his great great grandchild Rebecca. He is also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice.

When our paths crossed when out for walks, he always told me that a good walk was an excellent way to stay in good physical condition. I will miss his cheerful greeting at the golf course and infectious laugh. Les was the founder of the "Newman" shot which he played many times when the first shot off the Tee was not good.
