It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Garfield Shirley (Calgary, Alberta), born in Bathurst, New Brunswick, who passed away on December 31, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ken and Betty. He is survived by: his children, Ryan (Idil), Erin (Brian) and Brittany Wallace (Jason); his grandsons, Declan and Kyle; his brothers, Earl (Laurence) and Peter; his nephews, Matthew and Alexander; and his aunt Jean.

Viewing was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Shepherd King Lutheran Church (804 75 Ave SW, Calgary, AB T2V0S5). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
