She was predeceased by: her husband William Schafer; her parents, Theofil Anhorn and Emma Anhorn; and her siblings, Alwin, Gerda Diegel, Norma Angell, Elnora Strohschein and Betty Greig.

She is survived by: her children, Ron Schafer (Diane) of Calgary, Holly Schafer of Spruce View and Velvet Wood (Gordon) of Innisfail; her grandchildren, Kerry (Darin), Daniel, Cameron (Rachel), Shannon (Brad), Emerson (Kristin), Vanessa (Josh), Chance, Dallas (Scarlette) and Willow; her great grandchildren, Austin, Laine, Megan, Edina, Pyper and Liam; and her sister Florence Halbgewachs. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
