Giesbrecht in Calgary, Alberta, born in Duchess, Alberta, who passed away on January 2, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Tobler and Christine Tobler; her husband Ernie; and her siblings, Alfred, Art (Ruth), Harold (Gladys), Ralph (Marian), Elsie (Ernie), Bob (Marie), Jean (Clarence), Leah and Dorothy (Jerry).

She is survived by: her children, Shane (Joy), Peter (Lorraine), Kim (Dawn) and Tracey (Ken); her grandchildren, Jolene, Tyler (Sara), Meghan (Billy), Kayla (Travis), Logan (Dani), Aylannah (Darian), Kyle and Amber; her great grandchildren, Riley, Keely, Lincoln, Levi, Parker, Emma, Wyatt, Tatum and Fynn; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Tobler and Audrey Giesbrecht. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

We were fortunate to spend Christmas with Shirley in person for the first time since COVID and we will be forever grateful for that time.
