Simon Peter Smit Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Simon Peter Smit (Calgary, Alberta), who passed away on September 15, 2019 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, Tony, Jany, Willem, Corry, Grace, Piet, Jan, Anny and Jake.

He is survived by: his wife Maria "Riet"; his children, Edwin, Brian (Monique) and Carol (Gerard); his grandchildren, Travis, Jordan (Kaelyn) and Devyn; his brothers, Nick (Nancy) and Gerard (Ann); and his siblings-in-law, Bill, Rie Bruinsma and Bernice. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Salvation Army Agape Hospice of Calgary.
