With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sirkka Annele Vassi (Calgary, Alberta), who passed away on May 20, 2020 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Erkki Vassi; her brother Esko Kaustinen (Finland); her children, Jaakko Vassi (Liz) and Maria-Liisa Barnby; her grandchildren, Saara Vassi (Chad LaTulippe), Mikko Vassi (Amber), Marcie MacKimmie (Neil) and Mark Barnby (Sara); her siblings, Pirkko Takala (Finland) and Eero Kaustinen (Finland); her great grandchildren, Maija, Taika Vassi, Benjamin, Layla MacKimmie and Taj Barnby; and her parents, Erkki and Maria-Liisa.
If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Kulta Koti/Timmins Finnish Seniors Home in South Porcupine Ontario.
