She was predeceased by: her parents, John Warycki and Mary Warycki; her husband Kern Kernested; her sister Ann Horbaty; her son-in-law Craig Ovens; and her grandson Kevin Freeman.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Freeman (Graem), Monica Ovens and Kerby Kernested (Sheri); and her grandchildren, David (Taylor), Mark (Kazia), Courtney (Dana), Brittany and Patrick. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
