He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph and Annie Sikina (Sefcik); his former wife Sandra; and his brothers-in-law, Martin Galvon and Jim Primeau.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Branton; his sons, Mike (Iris), Joe (Annette), Rob (Kelly) and Fred (Lisa); his stepdaughters, Elizabeth (Mark), Maggie and Carolynn; his grandchildren, Logan, Hayden (Ashton), Megan (Scott), Carly, Faith, Meira, Elijah (Heather), Sofia (Kevin), Sadie and Jack; his great grandchildren, Jared, Scott, Devon and Elizabeth; and his sisters, Josie, Anne and Louise (Andrew). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home (82 Crowfoot Cir NW, Calgary, AB T3G2T3).
