He is survived by: his wife Manjula Patel; his daughters, Minal Patel and Asha Makwana; his grandsons, Tyler and Ishaan Makwana; his sons-in-law, Shashank Makwana and Glen Wilson; and his siblings, Suresh Patel, Satish Patel, Bharat Patel, Praful Patel, Chandrika Patel, Kusum Patel, Indu Patel, Usha Patel and Vidya Iyer.
